Blue Suede Shoes

A few weeks ago the twins and I went down to the Wally World to spend some gift cards they received for their birthday. It was rainy, Grayson was with his dad, and we had some time to kill. This was a perfect storm for spending money. This is exactly why you save...for a rainy day, right? Typically, when the twins get a chance to "pick whatever they want," Jackson takes about 5 minutes picking something, and spends the rest of the time trying to convince Presley to get things he thinks he might like. Presley, my little perfectionist agonizes over every decision. It totally stresses her out, and she usually takes 30 minutes and cries more than once. I learned this lesson once when Papoo once gave them both $5 to spend at the mall "on whatever you want."

This trip to Wal-mart was no different. Presley carefully walked every isle inspecting everything on the shelves. She picked up everything that looked interesting. Asked me what several things were. Meanwhile, my dear impulse buyer already had his prized possession: a guitar. There were no ifs and or buts about it. Presley bounced between a 2 foot tall stuffed horse and a princess CD player, which she finally decided on.

After that CD player played "Under the Sea" for 4 hours straight it broke. Presley didn't even seem disappointed. She must have been as tired of that song as I was, but she would never admit it. However, the music is still flowing in the George household, thanks to our own personal Elvis impersonator. I hope he keeps this interest, because it's one of the best loud noises he makes in our home. and unlike my weekly battle to get him dressed in whatever uniform he has to where, he can do this in his underwear.

Zerbert

Every generation has a TV family that feels like their own: Lucy and Ricky, the Brady Bunch, The Waltons. My TV family is the the Huxtables. I learned a lot from the Huxtables. Theo taught me that you can't get something pierced without your parents finding out (or he tried to teach me that). Denise taught me that it's not as easy as it looks to copy a designer Gordon Gartrell silk shirt. Vanessa taught me that if I drink underage, my parents could torture me the next morning by forcing me to take shots of tea. And finally Rudy taught me a word I use as my own: Zerbert! To see the definition of Zerbert, see below...

Little League- Opening Ceremonies

This year we're on the Riverdogs. We don't know what a Riverdog is but our hats have a cool dog fetching a bat. Here's our team. Some of the kids are a little camera shy, but our individual pictures are going to be so awesome...I mean, so awesome.

How cute is my sister? She's the best girl on the team. She throws like a girl, but she hits like Jose Conseco...before he 1. Sold out his friends by calling them out for steroid use in his book, 2. tried to sell time with himself on ebay only to not reach the minimum bid, and 3. signed a contract to do a celebrity boxing match and sent his twin brother to pretend to be him. Loser.

Cheese! I mean, do I know how to work a camera or what? Can you imagine this face on a baseball card? I have an arm like The Rocket, and I can hit a moving pitch through the infield.

Valentine's Day

We almost forgot to wish everyone a Happy Valentine's Day. This is us the morning of VDay before school. As you can see, it's nearly impossible to keep Grayson still. He's always on the go. Jackson had a busy day on Valentine's. First of all, his girlfriend Miss Rose, really didn't care for the fact that he had a shirt that said "Eligible Bachelor" on it. Jackson had some 'splaining to do. Then, a little girl named Jessie gave him a huge sucker. She only gave one to Jackson. Everyone else in the class just got regular valentine cards. I think she has a crush. Love was in the air at Holy C, because Jarett tried to kiss me. I never told Mama, but the teachers told her. Mama said not to let any boys kiss me, but I had already made up my mind about that one. As usual, I'm one step ahead of her.

Did you know...?

Did you know we have a new member of the family. His name is Grayson, and he's just about the best baby brother we could ever ask for. We love him so much. Check out this face and tell me who wouldn't love this little gift?

Buy Me Some Peanuts and Paperjacks

That's right! It's Mama's favorite time of the year...Baseball season. Not to be confused with her second favorite time of the year...College Football season.

Mama coached our t-ball team this year, and our team name was the Ringers. We don't know what kind of animal a Ringer is, and some of the moms from the team didn't know what a Ringer was either, which really annoyed our Mama. She's easily annoyed. We had a great time and can't wait for next season. They don't keep score in this league, but Mama is certain we were the best team out there. She also taught us "Take Me Out To the Ball Game." Jackson keeps calling it paperjacks instead of crackerjacks. She also insists that "Deep in the Heart of Texas" always follows...something about the 7th inning stretch.

The fastest runner on the team.

The biggest dimples on the team.

Presley is ready to take the field.

Jackson with a helmet to cover what we call his "Big Oprah Winfrey head."

Down and ready.

Gigi helped keep everyone in line too.

Monkeying Around

We have just learned to do a flip off of our "monkey bars" in the back yard. There's a big difference in the way that I do it and the way my brother does it. I do my flips with perfection. My goal is to always do it the way I'm supposed to do it. You can see how proud I am after my perfect flip. Please disregard the heart panties.

My brother, on the other hand, does his for pure entertainment.
