Buy Me Some Peanuts and Paperjacks

That's right! It's Mama's favorite time of the year...Baseball season. Not to be confused with her second favorite time of the year...College Football season.

Mama coached our t-ball team this year, and our team name was the Ringers. We don't know what kind of animal a Ringer is, and some of the moms from the team didn't know what a Ringer was either, which really annoyed our Mama. She's easily annoyed. We had a great time and can't wait for next season. They don't keep score in this league, but Mama is certain we were the best team out there. She also taught us "Take Me Out To the Ball Game." Jackson keeps calling it paperjacks instead of crackerjacks. She also insists that "Deep in the Heart of Texas" always follows...something about the 7th inning stretch.

The fastest runner on the team.

The biggest dimples on the team.

Presley is ready to take the field.

Jackson with a helmet to cover what we call his "Big Oprah Winfrey head."

Down and ready.

Gigi helped keep everyone in line too.

Monkeying Around

We have just learned to do a flip off of our "monkey bars" in the back yard. There's a big difference in the way that I do it and the way my brother does it. I do my flips with perfection. My goal is to always do it the way I'm supposed to do it. You can see how proud I am after my perfect flip. Please disregard the heart panties.

My brother, on the other hand, does his for pure entertainment.

Ms. Rose

This is Ms. Rose. Ms. Rose is many things to us. She is the art teacher at our school. She helps us make all kinds of beautiful pieces of art that we insist Mama keep for all eternity. Her creativity is endless. She's even started giving doodled ideas for t-shirts for Mama to make for her.

Ms. Rose wears super cute jewelry that we just love to look at. She makes it herself. She also fixes my hair in cute french braids whenever I'm having a bad hair day. She's basically like the coolest big sister we never had. Mama calls her a hippy. I have no idea what that means.

Most importantly though, she's the love of Jackson's life and Ms. Rose calls him her Love Bug. That's right...Mama is no longer the center of his universe. Ms. Rose has taken her place. Jackson talks non-stop about marrying Ms. Rose. Mama says that if he marries Ms. Rose, he has to go live with her, and she will have to make his dinner and pack his lunches in the morning, and help him get dressed for school in the morning, and wash his never ending pile of dirty clothes. Jackson seems fine with that as long as Mama can come live with Ms. Rose too. I think it's a good idea for my bubba to go live with Ms. Rose and leave Mama all to myself. Of course, I'd have to visit regularly to make sure that Jackson was being well taken care of.

Our Last Day of Health

This Saturday we spent the evening going to see Miss Joni. She came into Houston for a quick visit, so we popped in to say hello. Her mom's name is "Mrs. Jackson," which is so funny to us. Why would a lady have the name Jackson? There were dogs to play with and chili to eat, and we had a great time.

Well, since this day, one of us has been sick every day. Mama can't keep up with who was sick on what days, but she does know that we have not both been to school on the same day once this week. It's getting kinda old for all of us. The cough is one thing, but the fever really has us down. Today we are both with Gigi. Thank goodness this is her Spring Break! Mama had really hoped to do something fun like the zoo one day this week, but since we've been sick and she's missed 2 days of work this week, we're gonna miss out. She's ready to get her happy kids back though.

Look out Sarah Palin...you have competition.

This week in school, Ms. Kathy, Jackson and Presley’s preschool teacher, was teaching them about charity. Every Tuesday they can bring a canned good to Chapel and the food is donated to the food bank. Ms. Kathy was explaining that the food is for people who don’t have enough money to buy food for themselves. Ms. Kathy could tell that Presley was listening intently. She said she could practically see the wheels turning in her head, so she paused and waited for Presley to say something. Then, Presley raised her little 3 year old hand. Ms. Kathy said, “Yes, Presley.” And this is when my daughter became the youngest Republican in the county. Presley said, “If them don’t have no money, then, them just needs to get a job.”

Ms. Kathy said she’s the most grown-up three year old she’s ever seen. I think maybe I should stop making them listen to Shawn Hannity and Michael Berry in the car on the way home from school.

New Use for Pull-ups

It has been super cold outside lately, and we have been trying to stay warm any way we can.

Mama asked us to go get our pull-ups on to get ready for bed on Sunday night and of course we jumped up to do so as soon as we were asked. This is how we came back out into the living room...

That's right. Jackson decided to take it a little further by wearing a pink pull-up and two on his feet for boots. We think we are hilarious.
