We Wish You a Merry Christmas

That's right suckas! We finally did it. We finally took a picture with a holiday character without having to make Mama get in the picture. Quite an improvement from this :

The Brazosport Facts- Parade

I took the kids to the parade this weekend, and we met up with all of our friends. The next morning, this is what we found in the Brazosport Facts. They were so excited about the fire trucks. You can see Jackson 4th in line there. I've provided a link too, but I don't know how long it will work.

Sunday Afternoon Polo

We went with Mama's friend, Mr. Austin, to watch a little polo this past Sunday. We never complained, but it was SO HOT. Mama's car read 102 degrees, and that's not including this thing that Casey Curry calls the heat index. Gene Norman would have given yesterday a Norman number of -5. It felt like 120 degrees, at least. Just look at Sister's face and you can see how she felt about it.

Once the sun went behind the trees, we were able to enjoy the last couple of chukkers...that's what the polo people call a period. We sat in a nice box. Played in the dirt, and played with a few dogs that did a frisbee act at halftime. They even gave us a frisbee to take home. Brother has learned to whistle...so he thinks. We went to the Astros game and sat in a box that Baker Botts was so kind to invite us to earlier that day. I guess he saw someone whistle by putting two fingers in their mouth. Now Jackson puts two fingers in his mouth and makes a high pitched squeeling noise and calls that whistling. He's a character. No one really whistled at the polo match, so he found entertainment with Mr. Austin's helmet.

Thanks to Mr. Austin for taking out to the polo fields. We are looking back to going again in the fall.

Spring!...Sorry, I'm all out of clever titles.

Spring and Easter and weddings are all we've been about. Along with a great Mother's Day and an Alford family reunion a few cousins' birthdays, and Papoo's 55th birthday. We've had tons of reasons for cake, which is what my brother is all about. I'm more mature than that. I've even progressed to calling Mama, Mom now. I play waitress a lot now, and yell my orders to the pretend short order cook behind the TV. My Gigi says that a great imagination is the sign of great intellegence. I, of course, already knew that. I talk to Mom pretty much every morning on the way to Ms. Victoria's about going to school. After I have my next birthday party, I'll go to school.

Check me out with my pink tie. Presley thought she was hot stuff with her white gloves on Easter and at our cousin Kristen's wedding, but she didn't get to wear a tie. My Papoo wears a tie on special occassions and Papoo and I are pretty tight these days. I've been on a sugar high for about a month now, and I ask my mama for candy for just about any small accomplishment I have. Pottying, picking up toys, smiling, breathing. I'm also into starting every sentence with "I want..." Sometimes I start that sentence, but can't really come up with something to follow. That's when I usually just stick to asking for candy. She says no a lot, but I'm learning how to work my dimples just right. I'll have her wrapped around my finger in no time.

Just a Minute to Talk About Panties

Parenting Moment: We're in the middle of potty trianing right now, so the words "Panties" and "Underwear" are very common in our house. Last night, Jackson came home in a MOOD. He cried about everything and nothing. At one point during Dancing With The Stars, he cried. The Bachelorette Melissa and her partner were doing the jive and Jackson starting bawling and saying, "I want to see her panties." I have no idea why, but I took the opportunity to teach him it's not nice to look at girls' panties. Sometimes I wonder what will come out of his mouth next!

At least she's pretty, right?

Mom Just Wants to Have Fun

You know, we aren't the only ones who get to have fun...our Mama gets out on occasion too, and she seems to think that y'all care what she's up to. I hope none of you are too disappointed that this post is about her, and not us. Back in October, Mama had some time out at the Brazoria County Fair Cook-off. She and her old high school friend, Tiffany, showed everyone that the denim jacket never goes out of style! Annette (in the middle) didn't get the memo.

Soon you'll get to see some pics of us at the fair in our Wranglers and boots, so check back with us soon.

San Antonio Zoo

Back in October, right after the Hurricane Ike Evacuation, we took a trip to the San Antonio Zoo. We loved it there. The animals seemed so close.
We were VERY brave...ESPECIALLY since we thought this Komodo Dragon was real!

OPEN UP, let me see your teeth!

The zoo was pretty empty, so it was great for our new found independance.

Before we left we played with a lion family. Here's sissy roaring like the mommy lion we saw earlier that day. It was a PURRR-fect day.

Life After The Bachelor

Our mom has been spending a lot of time hooked on this dumb show where a bunch of girls are competing over one guy. In our opinion, the guy is a total dork, but what do we know? We're only 2 1/2.

Now that this show is over, she promises to catch up on some blogging. As some of you know, our great grandparents, Memaw and PawPaw, have a creek house that the family goes to pretty regularly. We love it there, because we get to sleep in bunk beds and go fishing. We have our own poles that our Pappu gave us. We never bothered with the prerequisite Snoopy or Barbie poles. No way! We started with our own Shimanos.

Our mom is kinda different. Her friend Angela calls her a hippie. Her friend Austin calls her a bunny hugger, but some of that has worn off on Jackson too. The other day, while Jackson was pretending to fish, Mama asked him if he was going to cook the fish and eat it. Jackson said, "No! That's nasty!" A little part of Mama was pretty proud. We also have a fish that lives in a bowl. Jackson named him Winnie the Pooh.

Seriously...it's been 6 months!

So much has happened since our 2nd birthday. We have new digs. We moved to a new crib. We have a new place to "stay at." Okay, let's cut the slang...we moved to our own house. It's been quite a whirlwind, and now Mama doesn't have the internet, so her blogging time is pretty limited. To make it up to you, she's going to spend as much time as possible catching y'all up, so buckle up and enjoy!

We'll start with some pictures of the birthday party afterparty back in August. Our cousins, Meagan and Jacob spoil us. They got us this awesome moonwalk castle and we partied hard in that thing. Check it!

This is the first time Mama ever heard us call out "Help me!" It actually came out "Me me, I tuck!" She hears "help me, I'm stuck" quite regularly now...We get stuck a LOT!
